We've Been Published! Our Bridgerton-Inspired Styled Shoot at De Vere Wokefield Estate
I am so ridiculously proud to share that Lauren Batten Events has been featured in Your Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wedding magazine. Our Bridgerton inspired styled shoot at the stunning De Vere Wokefield Estate made it to print, and honestly, I still cannot quite believe it.
Seeing something you poured your heart into end up on a printed page is something else entirely. This one is going straight in the scrapbook. But before it does, I wanted to write it all up here so you can get a proper look behind the scenes at how this styled shoot came together and what made it so special.
WHAT IS A STYLED SHOOT, AND WHY DO THEY MATTER?
If you are not familiar with the concept, a styled shoot is a creative collaboration between wedding suppliers who come together to produce editorial-quality imagery around a specific theme or aesthetic. There are no real couples involved. Instead, everyone brings their absolute best work to the table to create a visual story that showcases what is possible for real weddings.
For couples planning their own weddings, styled shoots are genuinely useful. They are where you find fresh inspiration, discover new suppliers, and see how different elements can be combined into a coherent look and feel. For a wedding coordinator based in Berkshire and the Thames Valley like me, being part of a shoot like this is a chance to demonstrate creative vision, build incredible supplier relationships, and show couples exactly what I am capable of delivering.
THE VISION: BRIDGERTON MEETS BERKSHIRE
The Bridgerton aesthetic has been having a serious moment in the wedding world, and for good reason. It is romantic, cinematic, and endlessly elegant. Think soft pastels, lush florals, opulent tablescapes, and that unmistakable feeling that you have stepped into a Regency drama. We wanted to capture all of that while grounding it firmly in the real-world luxury of one of Berkshire's most beautiful wedding venues.
De Vere Wokefield Estate in Reading provided the most perfect backdrop. The grandeur of the Victorian mansion house, the manicured grounds, and the stunning event spaces gave us exactly the canvas we needed to bring this vision to life across two very distinct suites.

"From the soft pastel florals in the Terrace Suite to the deep burgundy vibes in the Lincoln Suite, this was a full creative vision brought to life by the most talented team of suppliers. I cannot believe I get to call this my job."
TWO LOOKS, ONE EXTRAORDINARY VENUE
One of the things that made this shoot so exciting was that we created two completely different aesthetic worlds within the same venue. In the Terrace Suite, we went soft, romantic, and dreamy. Think pretty pastel florals, gentle colour palettes, and that classic Bridgerton blue woven throughout. It was the kind of tablescape you want to sit at for hours.
In the Lincoln Suite, we took a dramatic turn. Deep burgundy tones, rich textures, and a more moody, opulent energy. A serpentine table ran the length of the room and the styling team absolutely delivered something breathtaking. The contrast between the two suites showed just how versatile De Vere Wokefield Estate is as a wedding venue, and how much you can do with the right team around you.

The florals were handled by two brilliant teams. Ambience Venue Styling took care of the venue styling and installations, while Wild Bloom by Ella created the bouquets and bridesmaid florals. The result was a cohesive but layered floral story across both spaces that I know will inspire couples planning their own Berkshire and Oxfordshire weddings for a long time to come.
THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS SOMETHING ELSE
One thing that made this shoot feel truly alive was the live entertainment. Tilly Lukeman Vocals performed on the day, and having a live singer on set is honestly one of those things you do not realise you need until you experience it. Alongside her was Laura Seymour Violin, whose performances added the most beautiful, atmospheric backdrop to the shoot. Together they brought the Regency romance of the whole concept to life in a way that no playlist ever could.

THE LIGHTING THAT MADE IT MAGICAL
A styled shoot lives or dies by its atmosphere, and so much of the atmosphere on this shoot came down to one thing: the lighting. Barrbell Productions handled all the lighting and sound for the day, and their work was genuinely transformative. The fairy lights draped across the ceiling, the warm uplighting washing the walls none of that happened by accident. It was carefully considered, beautifully executed, and it elevated every single frame.
For couples planning weddings in Berkshire and Surrey, lighting is one of the most underrated investments you can make. The right lighting takes a beautiful venue and makes it feel cinematic. It adds warmth and depth to photographs, creates intimacy during dinner, and brings energy to the dancefloor. Barrbell Productions understand all of that, and if you are looking for a lighting and sound team who genuinely care about the end result, they are exactly who you want on your supplier list.

THE FULL SUPPLIER DREAM TEAM
A styled shoot only works when every single person involved brings their best. This team absolutely did that. I am so grateful to every supplier who gave their time, talent, and creativity to make this happen. If you are a couple planning a wedding in Berkshire, Oxfordshire, or the Thames Valley, this list is full of people I cannot recommend highly enough.
